Cannabis: Alleviates Pain, Treats Addiction
May 10-12, 2018
Jersey City, New Jersey
The Twelfth National Conference will take place in a set of majestic historical landmark buildings in Jersey City, New Jersey, only 15 minutes by car or PATH train to New York City. Serving as a hub and transit and commerce since the Revolutionary War era, Jersey City is also a hub of medicine and innovation.
VenueThe conference is being held at the historical Loews Movie Palace. Built in 1929 as one of the Landmark Wonder Theaters, it operated as a movie theater until the 1970s when it was abandoned and in danger of demolition. The Friends of Loews volunteers have lovingly restored the space and now operate it as a not-for-profit arts center, with the stated goal of renewing:
the unique combination of artistic ability with a sense of showmanship informed by democratic insight which, in the 20th century, melded the performing arts traditions of all the peoples who came to this country into a single force that has not only entertained us, but expressed our collective hopes and fears so dynamically (http://loewsjersey.org/)
The theater boasts a sumptuous multi-story lobby, complete with gilt balconies and chandeliers, where our exhibitors, information tables, and coffee breaks will be located. Attendees will gather in the generous space to network and socialize. Theater-tiered seating allows all attendees to have a great view of the stage and presenters. The building is ADA accessible.
This interdisciplinary event will also offer excellent opportunities to network with colleagues, and to review new services and information from our Exhibitors! If you’re interested in exhibiting at The Twelfth National Clinical Conference, download this form.
We’ve negotiated some great deals for our attendees at two wonderful nearby hotels. Make your reservations soon because these rooms will go fast!
INTERESTED IN DONATING items for this year’s auction? If so, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We have also set up a SCHOLARSHIP FUND to which you can contribute via paypal. By the way, you won’t have to have an actual paypal account for this. Their service lets you bypass that and just use your credit or debit card. Your support allows people with limited incomes – including patients, activists, and veterans – to reap the benefits of attending this world-class conference. Remember: Patients Out of Time is a 501c3 and your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, including donation of items for the auction and support for scholarship funds.
Parking Lot next to the Theater offers our attendees special day rate of $6. Overnight rates are higher but still very reasonable. Street parking is possible but not plentiful.
