San Francisco resident and medical cannabis activist Dennis Peron passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He had been dealing with lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Dennis was a tireless and fearless activist for social justice. Primarily known for his work regarding marijuana legalization and medical cannabis, Dennis was also a longtime advocate for gay rights. To many of us, Dennis was an inspiration. He was also a friend. He will be sorely missed.
“Dennis Peron, activist who helped legalize medical marijuana, dies,” San Francisco Chronicle
