Society for Cannabis Clinicians/American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine Certification Preparation Course

Are you seeking to be professional in your knowledge and practice of Cannabinoid medicine? The AACM Certification Prep Course and Test is becoming the nationally recognized gold standard in this field. This course is designed specifically to provide proficiency for Cannabis clinical experts.

Certification Prep Course and Test

The American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine (AACM) the certification arm of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC) will be holding its annual Cannabinoid Medicine certification test in conjunction with the Patients Out of Time Conference in Portland, OR.


SCC/AACM mission is to promote the professional evaluation and recommendation of cannabis. We do this by working to educate physician and the general public.

AACM Certification Criteria

In order to be an accredited health care provider member of SCC/AACM; the health care provider must:

  • pass the certification test,
  • adhere to our ethical and practice standards,
  • have two years experience practicing Cannabinoid medicine, and
  • have 20 hours of approved CME credits in Cannabinoid medicine

Please note that you may take the test before other areas are met. Remember you will only be certified after meeting all conditions, not just passing the test. When you pass the test, you will receive a document noting you passed the test.

Preparation Course: $150

Registration opens at 10am, Thursday, May 8th. The course begins at 11:00am and will run until 5:00pm. The credentialing test will take place after the conference at 9:30, Sunday May 11, and personal interviews will be held starting 10:30 that day. Two hours is the allotted test taking time, however it will should only take you from 60-90 minutes to complete. The written test is followed by a short 15 minute interview to assess adherence to reasonable medical/ethical practice standards.
